Leadership BC - Central Vancouver Island promotes and encourages outstanding community leadership

To seek out and cultivate potential and emerging leaders in the Central Vancouver Island region

Leadership BC is a BC Chamber of Commerce initiative and is supported locally by the Ladysmith Chamber of Commerce.

Our program provides leadership training and support. Encouraging our graduates also helps shape the future of their businesses and organizations, as well as their respective communities. Since 2005, Leadership BC - Central Vancouver Island has graduated close to 100 local women and men. These emerging leaders have learned new skills, made important contacts, and gained a greater understanding of our community's issues, challenges, and opportunities.

Raising Community Awareness

Leadership BC - Central Vancouver Island is developed by our community for our community. The program is open to anyone who is interested in leadership and community involvement and development. Program content considers issues and community awareness; personal leadership growth; and partipation in a community program.

Reaching Your Full Potential

Leadership BC - Central Vancouver Island is committed to preparing individuals to be effective leaders in their communities and to equip them with an understanding of economic and community issues, challenges, alternatives, and options.

Build Innovative Communities

Communities that are able to establish a widely shared sense of purpose and excitement are in a stronger position to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. This requires a bottom-up grassroots effort that engages a cross section of community leaders and stakeholders.
